The ComTS Group includes ComTS GmbH, ComTS Finance GmbH and ComTS Logistics GmbH. All companies are subsidiaries of Commerzbank AG. In total, they employ several thousand people in Germany. They perform a wide range of back-office activities - from handling postal processes to complex financial transactions in securities trading. The range of qualifications required is correspondingly wide.

Although the ComTS network is of great importance to Commerzbank, it was hardly visible to the outside world for a long time. The previous websites did not sufficiently explain the services or the corporate culture and therefore offered potential applicants hardly any points of contact. At the same time, Verbund increasingly focused internally on New Work, diversity and agile leadership. These strengths should now also be visible to the outside world.

Project Summary

The initial situation of the ComTS brand presented +Pluswerk with several challenges: low visibility as an employer, hardly any recognition value in the competition for skilled workers and a service portfolio that required explanation. In 2023, several independent locations merged, which created the need to professionally consolidate the previously scattered digital channels.

After a one-year concept phase, a new company website based on TYPO3 CMS was implemented in 2021/2022. Since then, the platform has formed the foundation for all communication measures. It is designed as a central source of information and is also closely linked to Google business profiles and local landing pages for the locations.

At the same time, +Pluswerk developed a visual imagery that focuses on diversity and humanity. Instead of interchangeable office shots, authentic employee portraits were created, which were produced in elaborate shoots at all locations. In combination with social media measures and SEA campaigns, a holistic communication system was created - both internally and externally.

An employer brand that works

Thanks to the new employer branding strategy and website, the ComTS Group has significantly increased its perception as a modern employer. Potential applicants now understand at first glance what ComTS does, what it stands for and what opportunities it offers. The presentation of real employees creates trust and authenticity. The elaborate photo shoots were perceived as a form of appreciation.

The technical platform based on TYPO3 CMS allows flexible content maintenance, precise control of location pages and sustainable SEO optimization. Thanks to the integration of Google Business Profiles, the locations now appear much more visibly in search results and can address local target groups in a targeted manner.

ComTS also benefits from consistent brand communication across the website, social media and internal channels. The campaigns - including the award-winning "Turning talent into a career - COMTS Youngstars" initiative - have not only generated reach, but also strengthened the company's positioning as a top employer in the regions.

Before the project, the individual company websites in the ComTS network were hardly meaningful. Neither the variety of tasks nor the modern working culture were visible. This made it considerably more difficult to attract specialists and junior staff, as potential applicants could not clearly see the added value of employment.

In the course of the relaunch, a lean, user-friendly website based on TYPO3 CMS was created that puts people at the center. Authentic portraits of employees replace stereotypical office images and convey diversity and team spirit. The new imagery picks up on the claim "Diversity as an answer to complexity" and presents the ComTS Group as a modern, flexible and value-oriented employer.

Site integration with SEO

Before the relaunch, the online presences of the various ComTS locations were highly fragmented. Different profiles and inconsistent content led to low visibility in search engines and a weak employer presence. Potential applicants could hardly find any relevant information on vacancies or regional points of contact.

With the new TYPO3 architecture and the consolidation of the homepages, +Pluswerk focused on centralized content and local landing pages. By adding their own Google business profiles, the locations are now consistently visible in search engines and maps. The ComTS network and the applicants benefit equally from a clear structure, regional findability and a uniform brand presence.

The project for the ComTS Group shows how +Pluswerk combines complex requirements from the areas of employer branding, corporate communications and technology in one system.
