The migration of the overall appearance was carried out step by step, gently introducing the visitor to the new look and feel of the trade fair presence.

The area in the direct vicinity of the international airport is growing continuously and, with around 1.2 million visitors a year, the demands on the digital infrastructure are also increasing. This must ensure that digital services and platforms are always available with high performance, even at peak times.

Messe Stuttgart is meeting these growing challenges with the large-scale optimization and restructuring of central IT solutions. At the heart of this is a central marketing database that distributes and controls content as a digital content hub.

Concept & Design

As a modern supra-regional player, Messe Stuttgart is responding to the demands of digitalization. +Pluswerk takes this requirement into account and creates a tailor-made look for the client's more than 50 events. Using an agile approach based on Scrum, the agency transferred the existing website to a new technical platform in just 16 months. The basis is TYPO3 8.7 LTS. With intelligent caching solutions and cache warm-up, +Pluswerk meets the requirements for more performance - even with high user numbers. The result is a significant increase in speed.

But that's not all: as an expert in digital solutions, +Pluswerk is supporting the trade fair in a visionary project with R&D character that is scheduled to run for four years. The core of the initiative is the restructuring and optimization of the IT structure that has grown over the years and the implementation of innovative new services. The basis for this is the MKDB marketing database, which distributes and organizes content as a "central nervous system".
