PIMCORE Community Dev Days 2026

On November 10, 2026, the European PIMCORE community will gather once again in Frankfurt am Main for the second edition of the PIMCORE Community Dev Days (PCDD).

The event will focus on hands-on developer experiences, technical deep dives, and personal exchanges with core contributors and industry experts. Together, we’ll take a look at the future of PIMCORE Studio, modern Symfony and PHP architectures, and the impact of AI on the software development of tomorrow.

Whether you work with PIMCORE every day or follow the latest developments in the PHP ecosystem, the PCDD offers you new knowledge, fresh inspiration, and valuable connections that will last long after the event.

Please note: The Pimcore Partner Advisory Council will be taking place at the same venue at the same time. Since both events run all day, it is unfortunately not possible to attend both.

Expert Speakers 🎤

Kévin Dunglas

Kévin Dunglas is a Symfony core developer and the creator of the API platform framework for REST and GraphQL, as well as select Symfony components (Panther, PropertyInfo, WebLink, etc.). He is also involved in more than 100 open-source projects, including PHP, Laravel, the Doctrine ORM, as well as React and Kubernetes.

Alexander Turek

Alexander M. Turek is a software developer and a member of the Symfony Core Team. After earning his degree in computer science from KIT, he specialized in Symfony, Doctrine, and open-source projects. In 2026, he serves as CTO at SensioLabs Germany and as Solutions Architect at creativestyle GmbH.

Topic: Building Apps for Change

Software changes, dependencies evolve, and new requirements arise. This presentation shows how deliberate architectural decisions can keep the core business logic stable even as the surrounding technology changes. This makes refactoring safer, upgrades less stressful, and applications maintainable over the long term.

Marvin Bertram

Marvin Bertram is a front-end developer and core developer at PIMCORE. He is passionate about developing modern and exceptional web experiences, as well as exploring new technologies and digital trends. In addition, he is deeply engaged with the future of the web and the ongoing evolution of modern front-end technologies.

Sebastian Bergmann

Sebastian Bergmann is the author and maintainer of PHPUnit, the testing framework that has significantly advanced the professionalism of PHP software development and has become the industry standard. As a founding partner and consultant at thePHP.cc, he helps teams implement PHPUnit and optimize its use.

Topic: Development with Coding Agents

LLM-based development tools increase the pace of development, but without effective quality controls, they can accelerate technical debt and errors. Using PHP, Symfony, PHPUnit, and PHPStan as examples, this presentation demonstrates how automated testing, static analysis, and clear architectural boundaries enable secure and efficient work with coding agents.

Ondřej Chrastina

Ondřej Chrastina is a developer relations strategist and technologist with more than ten years of experience. His focus is on developer experience, dev tooling, and resources such as SDKs, tutorials, and starter kits. He also has extensive experience with headless CMS, data platforms, and modern web technologies.

Topic: AI Best Practices for Your Product

AI coding agents often integrate products based on outdated training data. Using CKEditor, TYPO3, and Drupal as examples, this presentation shows how various open-source projects prepare their content for AI agents. Participants will learn a practical, PHP-friendly approach for their own projects and products.
